Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle accounts receivable day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of collections, monitoring, and maintenance of AR accounts across multiple entities
- Conduct high-volume collection calls and manage AR correspondence, including resolving account discrepancies and preparing delinquency notices
- Alert internal team members of pending disputes and communicate outstanding items required to facilitate payment receipts
- Coordinate weekly team meetings to discuss delinquencies, collection strategies, and process improvements
- Collaborate with billing, finance, and operations teams to streamline the collections process
- Manage accounting and collections software platforms
- Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations across accounting systems
- Oversee preparation of custom AR reports and KPIs for senior leadership
- Set up payment platforms to facilitate incoming payments
- Prepare and manage mechanics liens and lien releases
- Monitor AR automation processes and coordinate with tech support to address system issues
- Review AR Aging reports on a monthly basis
- Handle legal disputes and liaise with external legal counsel
- Support administrative tasks and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounts receivable and collections experience with a proven track record of success
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Ability to manage high volumes of activity, including 20 collection calls and 30–40 emails daily
- Proficient in Excel with intermediate-level skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred; experience with additional accounting software a plus
- Strong technology aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new financial systems and tools
