General Maintenance Technician

Position Summary 

The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the AllThrive 365 maintenance manager in overall property maintenance repairs, maintains a list of repairs completed, assists in maintaining equipment and tools, and follows all appropriate safety guidelines.  This position works within prescribed budget guidelines and recommends general improvements when needed.  This position requires a basic understanding on how to do repairs (outside of those that do require a separate certification/license/permit to perform/ in general maintenance including, but not limited to:   HVAC systems, plumbing, painting/drywall landscaping, appliance repair, carpentry and electrical.  This position performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or assigned by the AllThrive 365 maintenance Manager.

Requirements

Minimum Required:

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be in good physical condition and have physical capacity to work extra hours when necessary.
• Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license and insurance.
• If driving an AllThrive 365 vehicle, must be insurable by AllThrive 365.
• Must be able to remain calm and communicate effectively in pressure-filled situations in a professional manner.
• Knowledge of office procedures and bookkeeping, along with performing minor maintenance duties.
• Does routine office work and maintenance of grounds and building.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass an 11-panel drug test.
• Must not have any restrictions for physical work for which reasonable accommodation cannot be made.

Skills

• Demonstrates and is proficient at safety practices on the job
• A minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance with the ability to complete needed minor repairs to HVAC systems, plumbing, painting/drywall, landscaping, appliance repair, carpentry and electrical.  

Abilities

• Able to perform work that requires stooping and bending.
• Able to understand and use a computer system
• Ability to contact, meet and relate to people from varying backgrounds, using tact, diplomacy, and patience.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.  

• Physical Labor – standing, walking, stooping, squatting, sitting and bending as necessary  

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Climbing ladders and working on roof tops.
• Working outdoors in cold or extremely hot conditions.
• Drive to multiple properties throughout the workday with limited notice
