Position Summary
Serves persons with mental illness as part of treatment, in a 24/7/365 Assisted Group Living Treatment Facility (a home-like setting) with a support team, providing protective oversight, behavior management, personal support, assistance with activities of daily living, assistance with self-administration of medication, personal care services as required, and social and recreational activity consistent with the Client's Individual Service Plan. Provides care to clients in a single-family residence, during an assigned shift ensuring clients are never left alone in the facility. This position is classified as Safety Sensitive.
This position does not have direct reports.

Requirements
Education/Experience/Credentials/Knowledge/Understanding
- A BHT has at least 2 years’ experience working with the SMI (serious mental ill) adult population.
- High school diploma or GED and four years of full-time behavioral health experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults such as seniors and those with disabilities
- Must possess a fingerprint background card through the Department of Public Safety
- Must pass a comprehensive background clearance
- Meet all state and federal immunization and communicable disease clearance requirements with or without an accommodation or exemption
- Possess a valid unrestricted driver license and be insurable by AllThrive 365
- Must successfully complete Certified Caregiver Certification within 30 days of employment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
