GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Sales Support Specialist role entails implementing sales activities to maintain and grow existing business. Those activities include, but not limited to, support in scheduling client phone calls and meetings, following up with clients about their order status, researching new business/markets, enhancing current customer business/service, collaborating with other FruitSmart departments, preparing sales summaries/data, visiting customers and tradeshows, and growing the FruitSmart brand recognition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenue
- Provide troubleshooting assistance for customer orders, account statuses and relevant issues
- Assist in enhancing current service and product variety to existing customer base
- Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
- Generate timely sales reports/summaries/data
- Assist in the development of sales presentations and proposals
- Stay current with new product and feature launches
- Maintain positive relationship with existing customers and build relationships with new customers
- Suggest and promote sales process improvements
- Review pending orders and specific customer requests to ensure excellent customer service and experience
- Collect and analyze competitor data to distinguish sales opportunities

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education preferred
- 1-3 years of industry related experience, preferred in ingredient sales
- Well versed in MS Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
