Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team.
**Costing and Manufacturing experience is preferred, but we are able to train Accountants without this experience.

The Role at a Glance
As the Cost Accountant, you will own the standard cost system and serve as the subject matter expert on manufacturing costs and inventory performance. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will bridge the gap between production and the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Analysis: Maintain and update the standard cost system, including BOMs and routing structures.
- Variance Investigation: Analyze scrap, usage, and purchase price variances to identify operational improvements.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage cycle count processes and ensure inventory accuracy across all levels.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly variance reports and performance-based financial metrics for senior management.
- Operational Support: Track capital expenditures, maintain fixed asset records, and support month-end close activities.
Required
- BS degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance
- 1 years’ Accounting
- Proficiency in MS Excel
Preferred
- Cost Accounting exprience
- Accounting in the Manufacutring industry
Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
