Workday Architect – Integrations & Workday Studio
Location: Jersey City, NJ or Boston, MA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Experience: 5 years Workday experience
About the Role
We’re looking for a Workday Architect who can own the design, strategy, and delivery of complex Workday integrations across our enterprise landscape. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture, hands‑on development, and cross‑functional collaboration. You’ll serve as the technical authority for Workday integrations, with a heavy emphasis on Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and API‑based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and end‑to‑end delivery of Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Define integration standards, patterns, and best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Oversee integration lifecycle activities including design reviews, code reviews, testing strategy, and production deployment.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues and drive root‑cause analysis.
- Guide Workday release management activities, assessing impact to integrations and recommending remediation.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert for Workday data structures, security, and cross‑functional configuration.
- Mentor junior developers and provide architectural oversight across Workday projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of hands‑on Workday integration experience, including Workday Studio.
- Proven experience designing and architecting large‑scale, enterprise‑grade Workday integrations.
- Strong expertise with EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services.
- Solid understanding of Workday HCM data model, business processes, and security framework.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and related integration technologies.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in either Jersey City or Boston.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Integration or Workday Studio certification.
- Experience with Workday Extend or Workday Prism Analytics.
- Background in HR, Payroll, or Financial systems architecture.
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
