IT Technician (Level 1 / Level 2) | Dover, NJ | Full-Time | On-Site | $40,000 - $55,000
A rapidly growing IT services provider supporting major enterprise and financial-sector clients is seeking multiple Level 1 and Level 2 IT Technicians to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on technicians who enjoy working across desktop support, infrastructure, and data center environments. Successful candidates will support critical client operations while gaining exposure to large-scale technology deployments, migrations, and enterprise infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and end users
- Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and user account issues
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
- Perform asset management, equipment deployment, and inventory audits
- Support network troubleshooting, including basic wired and wireless connectivity issues
- Document technical work and update ticketing systems
- Rack and stack equipment, perform cabling and patching activities, and assist with hardware deployments
- Support data centre operations, including equipment installations, decommissions, and hardware replacements
- Escort vendors and support facility access requirements where required
- Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations
- Travel to client locations as needed
- Troubleshoot server, network, firewall, and infrastructure-related issues
- Support Windows Server environments and related technologies
- Handle escalated tickets and complex technical incidents
- Assist with on-site installations, upgrades, and project work
- Provide technical guidance and escalation support to junior technicians
What We're Looking For:
Required
- 1 years of IT support experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and desktop troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and in client-facing environments
Highly Desired
- Hands-on data center or colocation experience
- Rack and stack deployments
- Structured cabling and patch panel work
- IDF/MDF closet experience
- Hardware refresh, migration, or deployment project experience
- Exposure to networking concepts and infrastructure troubleshooting
- MSP, field support, or multi-client environment experience
Certifications (Helpful but Not Required)
- CompTIA A
- Network
- Server
- Microsoft certifications
Schedule:
- Primarily Monday-Friday shifts
- Day and afternoon/evening schedules available
- Significant overtime opportunities available
