INTAKE MANAGER, CHILDREN & YOUTH SERVICES Position Description ExemptOVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB
This position functions as a key member of the Agency managerial team and provides administration, supervisory, planning and managerial support and assistance within the Agency. This position will directly supervise and lead the Agency’s Intake Unit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB
- Serves as a member of the Agency management team and participates in long and short term planning.
- Plans and conducts administrative meetings in conjunction with Administrator and Assistant Administrator.
- Plans, reviews and evaluates the work of assigned supervisors.
- Assists with reviews of performance evaluations; assists in interviews and selection on employee hiring and/or other personnel actions.
- Reviews, analyzes and develops necessary agency operational policies and procedures.
- Assists with management of quality control of services through supervision, case reviews, outcome measures, Family Service Plan reviews, Permanency Reviews and response to community feedback.
- Manages program planning and development for staff, providers, planning boards and other committees as assigned.
- Assists Administrator, Fiscal Officer and Assistant Administrator in planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive agency Annual Plan and Needs Based Budget.
- Monitors direct and contracted services to ensure program quality, efficiency and conformance with established federal, state and local regulations and policies.
- Assists with management of an in-service training plan for agency service staff and serves as internship liaison with colleges and universities.
- Manages the preparation of a variety of program reports and correspondence.
- Serves as Emergency Duty Back-up Supervisor in rotation with other agency supervisors/administrators.
- Required to obtain and maintain certifications as Direct service Worker and Supervisor as delineated by statute and/or regulations.
- Acts as Agency lead in the absence of the Administrator and/or Assistant Administrator.
OTHER DUTIES OF THE JOB
- Serves as agency speaker at community events.
- Provides selected agency staff training.
- Represents agency on task forces and committees.
- Supervises student interns assigned to the Intake Units.
- Attends meetings and training as required.
- Performs other job related duties as required

Regular instruction and supervision from Agency Administrator or Assistant Administrator in regard to daily work duties.
SUPERVISION GIVEN
Directly supervises Intake Unit Supervisors
