What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate position at Fox Rothschild?
Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Denver, CO office for an associate in our Litigation Department. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of construction and commercial litigation experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record required. A former clerkship is a plus.
- Experience with representing general contractors and developers in various construction defect actions.
- Knowledge of large, complex, multi-party litigation concerning residential and commercial construction projects within the State of Colorado.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- The ability to independently manage cases is required.
- Trial experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Visual Acuity
- Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Compensation & Benefits
- The salary range for this position applies to Colorado. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $220,000 - $260,000; bonus eligibility with qualifiers.
