Description: Fox Rothschild has an opening in New York, NY for an associate in our Real Estate Department. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of relevant experience. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed in the State of New York.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Experience in retail industry, commercial real estate, regulatory and licensing, and land use law preferred.
- Experience with licensing and soft litigation is a plus but not required.
- License to practice, or ability to obtain a license to practice, in the State of New Jersey strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft lease agreements, and other related legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful transaction outcomes.
- Provide advice and representation for regulatory, land use, and municipal hearings.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Visual Acuity
- Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
Compensation & Benefits
- The salary range for this position applies to New York. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $220,000 - $250,000 in New York.
