Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee Quality, Risk Management, and Regulatory Compliance functions. This role plays a critical part in advancing patient safety initiatives, improving clinical outcomes, and ensuring adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards.
This is a weekday leadership position operating during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Quality Improvement, Risk Management, and Medical Staff Office functions
- Serve as the Patient Safety Officer and oversee compliance and ethics programs
- Ensure organization-wide adherence to federal and state healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with leadership and clinical teams to drive performance improvement initiatives
- Monitor and improve patient outcomes through data-driven strategies
- Oversee accreditation readiness and act as liaison with regulatory agencies (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission)
- Conduct investigations related to compliance concerns and ensure corrective actions
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and transparency across clinical teams
- Support implementation of organizational goals related to quality and patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting
- Prior experience in quality, risk management, or patient safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with regulatory surveys and accreditation processes
- CPHRM and/or CPPS certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years)
- Strong background in performance improvement and data analysis
