About Foundry

At Foundry, formerly known as IDG Communications, Inc. and rebranded on February 17, 2022, we have played a key role in every major milestone, announcement, and development in modern technology since 1964.

Originally established as the publishing arm of the International Data Group (IDG), we distributed newspapers, magazines, and books globally, featuring prominent brands such as CIO, ChannelWorld, ComputerWorld, PCWorld, and many more.

Today, at Foundry we continue to lead the world by helping companies bring their visions to reality through a combination of media, marketing technologies and proprietary data. Our technology platforms are powered by data from our owned and operated ecosystem of global editorial brands, prestigious awards, and events, all engineered and integrated to drive marketing campaigns for technology companies. While we harness the power of algorithms, optimisation, and automation, what truly fuels our success are the meaningful connections and trusted relationships we cultivate.

What truly sets our hearts on fire is our unwavering belief in technology as a force for good. We are not just bystanders; we are the architects of positive change. With wisdom as our guide, we are spearheading progress in various crucial areas, such as championing diversity and inclusion, democratising tech accessibility, and championing women in leadership roles.

About the Team

We currently run a diverse mix of events for our high-quality technology audiences ranging from intimate round tables to large conferences and awards. We have ambitious plans to grow our digital and f2f conference business in the region and gain market share from our competitors.

Our leading brands CIO, CSO, Reseller News and ARN host a series of events across ANZ, and this is an exciting time to join Foundry and be a part of the exciting growth for the team.

About the Role

As the Event Producer/Executive, you’ll be at the heart of creating impactful events that inspire and connect industry leaders. You’ll research and craft high-quality agendas, secure top-tier speakers, and ensure every event is both marketable and commercially successful. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy behind dynamic in-person and virtual programs. Typical timelines include 5 weeks of planning followed by up to 20 weeks of campaign management and event execution.

We’re looking for an ambitious professional with exceptional research and writing skills, and the confidence to engage with speakers and stakeholders through phone and virtual meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research to develop high-quality, innovative conference agendas
  • Write and structure compelling content for event programs
  • Identify, approach, and recruit industry-leading speakers
  • Ensure the marketability and commercial viability of each conference
  • Provide strategic leadership in designing in-person and virtual event programs
  • Manage the full production cycle: planning, campaign management, and event delivery
  • Collaborate with event operations to support logistics and onsite execution
  • Engage confidently with speakers and stakeholders via phone and virtual meetings
  • Oversee timelines, ensuring projects meet deadlines and quality standards

About You

  • Prior experience in conference production (preferred)
  • Exceptional copywriting, proofreading, and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
  • Ability to lead and support speakers and colleagues throughout the event lifecycle
  • Collaborative team player with ownership of event production
  • Proactive, ambitious, and willing to step outside comfort zones
  • Eager to learn and share knowledge with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional communication
  • Genuine interest in the technology industry

About the Benefits

  • Convenient Location: Our office in the heart of North Sydney provides an easily accessible commute.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible work arrangements that allow for a balanced approach between WFH and the office.
