Overview
Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking for an Assistant Food & Beverage Director to support the planning, direction, and coordination of all food and beverage operations.
As an Assistant of Food & Beverage Director candidate will ensure the staff is aware of safety procedures, conducts regular trainings, and spot-check on staff to ensure efficiencies. Demonstrates initiative and takes ownership of the customer experience, doing what is needed without being directed to do so.

Responsibilities
- Assists in overseeing daily operations in all food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure consistent execution of service, quality and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor staffing levels, scheduling and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain strong floor presence to support team members and resolve issues.
- Supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor and manage labor, food and beverage costs.
- Analyze financial reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensures compliance with health, sanitation and safety regulations.
- Enforce food safety and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Maintain readiness for instructions and audits.
- Partner with HR on workplace safety and injury prevention.
- Assists in executing F&B initiatives, promotions, and events.
- Support menu development and concept enhancements.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive overall business goals.
- Supervise managers, supervisors, and frontline staff
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback
- Support hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts
- Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: managing work schedules, meet business needs, hires, trains, and supervises all F&B staff in a respectful and fiscally responsible manner.
- Manages performance of team member utilizing tools such as performance evaluations; coaching and counseling; discipline and commendations. Assesses team members to develop areas where improvement is needed.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background and credit check, and drug test.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license.
- Skilled problem solver.
- Computer skills with the ability to use computers and related technology to preform fundamental tasks, i.e., use email system, make presentations, work with application software, access databases, etc. Proficiency in MS Office a plus.
- Can multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Strong organizational and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent skills in customer relations.
- Able to command the respect of team members and lead them successfully.
- Possesses knowledge and experience of best practices, laws and regulations, policies and procedures or be capable of learning the aforementioned within the probationary period.
- Able to write concise reports and business correspondence.
- Able to effectively present.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business or related field (or equivalent experience). Food Manager Certification and RBS exam completion required for this job.
Experience: Five years of food and beverage experience; Three years in supervisory or management role.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to assist with minor lifting if necessary to assist other team members.
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
- Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
- Position may require exposure to excessive noise, exposure to dust, gas, flames, chemicals, exposure to extremes in temperature, humidity or wetness.
- Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
