Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Director of Business Development for Home Health to join our team at Select Home Health in Indiana. This position will be based out of our Carmel office and will primarily support the Indianapolis market while assisting with growth efforts across the state. The ideal candidate is passionate about healthcare sales, relationship development, and expanding access to quality home health and hospice services. This role will require travel to surrounding branch locations and referral partners throughout Indiana, with opportunities for future territory expansion as the organization continues to grow.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly growth goals.
- Build and maintain strong referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and community partners.
- Utilize Trella Health’s Marketscape CRM to identify referral trends, target growth opportunities, and track sales activity.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support strategic growth initiatives.
Relationship Management
- Serve as a trusted liaison between referral sources and clinical operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with referral partners.
- Represent Select Home Health and Hospice at networking events, community events, and professional organizations.
Reporting & Compliance
- Track referral activity, sales metrics, and market growth using CRM tools and reporting systems.
- Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with federal and state healthcare regulations, including Anti-Kickback and Stark Law requirements.
- Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to support ethical and compliant business development practices.
Requirements
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, organization, and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of the Indiana healthcare market and referral landscape preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel throughout Indiana as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare sales experience required.
- Previous home health, hospice, or post-acute care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience using Trella Health’s Marketscape CRM or similar healthcare CRM platforms highly preferred.
