Director of Enrollment Management and Parent Engagement

Position Summary
Forsyth Country Day School seeks a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-driven Director of Enrollment Management and Parent Engagement to lead all aspects of student recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and re-enrollment, and to foster a vibrant and engaged parent community.
This senior leadership role is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive enrollment strategy, strengthening the school’s presence in the broader community, and ensuring an exceptional experience for prospective and current families. The Director serves as a visible ambassador of the school and a key member of the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment Management & Strategy
- Lead and oversee all aspects of recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and re-enrollment across all divisions.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-informed enrollment strategy aligned with institutional goals.
- Establish annual enrollment targets and monitor progress toward goals.
- Track, analyze, and report on key metrics including inquiries, applications, yield, retention, and attrition.
- Identify trends and make strategic recommendations to strengthen enrollment outcomes.
- Oversee the Associate Director of Admissions for Financial Aid and Scholarships
- Oversee the Admissions Assistant
Admissions & Outreach
- Design and execute a robust outreach plan to attract mission-appropriate families
- Plan and oversee admissions events, including open houses, tours, and family engagement opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships within the broader community through active involvement in local organizations, events, and networks.
- Serve as a visible and polished representative of the school in the community.
New Family Experience
- Oversee and enhance the onboarding experience for newly enrolled families.
- Ensure a seamless and welcoming transition for students and parents.
- Collaborate with academic teams, wellness, and belonging to support new family integration.
Parent Engagement & Community Building
- Serve as the primary liaison to the Parent Association and its leadership.
- Support and strengthen parent volunteer programs
- Develop and implement initiatives that foster meaningful parent engagement and community connection.
- Create opportunities for families to build relationships to enhance school culture and retention.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a member of the school’s leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of School.
- Participate in strategic planning and institutional initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments, including advancement and academics, to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on enrollment trends and community engagement.
School Presence & Representation
- Attend and actively participate in school events, including evenings and weekends.
- Serve as a highly visible, professional, and approachable representative of Forsyth Country Day School.
- Model the school’s values and mission in all interactions.
- Collaborate with Marketing to build a robust social media presence
- Actively engage current and past members of the FCDS community to build strength in the institution's storytelling and history.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Successful experience as a Director of Admissions or Enrollment Management, preferably in independent schools.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to strategy.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to engage diverse constituencies and build community

Essential Functions
- Regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to operate a computer and have basic knowledge of Google Workspace.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
- Must be able to utilize oral and written communication skills effectively.
