Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a Long-Term Care Facility in Royersford, PA is looking for a Maintenance Assistant. Come join our team!

The Maintenance Assistant maintains the facility plant and essential mechanical, electrical and resident care equipment in safe operating, home like condition. Services provided are consistent with the Life Safety Code of the National Fire Protection Association and with all state and federal laws and regulations.

Job Duties:

• Maintains the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exists, fire detection alarms, extinguishing equipment, and life support systems in the event electrical supplies are interrupted
• Maintains, adjusts, and repairs all essential equipment [e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication room refrigerators, laundry equipment, etc.] in safe operating condition
• Maintains, adjusts, and repairs all facility general equipment [e.g., wheel chairs, beds, furniture, walls, etc.]
•  Maintains, adjusts, and repairs resident call system to ensure a functioning communication system for rooms, toilets, and bathing areas
  
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  
  

     High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

V     Vocational training in skilled trade or other relevant technical training

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance in an institutional health care setting
