What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Aide position at Focus Health Network?
Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Aide to join our team. Our Activity Aides are responsible for implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This position is Part time or Full time, with shifts including 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 4 pm- 8 pm. One mandatory weekend per month.

- Lead a variety of recreational activities such as games, exercise arts & crafts, special events
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in activities, providing individual support as needed
- Set up and clean up activity areas and equipment
- Transport residents to and from activities
- Document resident participation and progress
- Coordinate with other staff to ensure a positive resident experience
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for residents
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work with seniors and understand their needs
- Creativity and Enthusiasm
- Physical ability to assist with activities and transport residents
- Experience with activities in a healthcare setting is a plus
