Staff Accountant

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
Position Summary
flyADVANCED is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in New Castle, Delaware. This is an excellent opportunity for an upcoming or recent college graduate looking to begin a career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced business environment.
The Staff Accountant will support daily accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, perform reconciliations, and help maintain accurate financial records. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced accounting professionals while developing core skills in corporate accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly close activities by completing bank reconciliations, owner aircraft statements and AR collections.
- Assist with expense reporting, sales uploads, fixed asset reporting. Inventory management, credit card reconciliations, and income statement balance sheet journal entries.
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and other accounting schedules using Excel
- Support audits and other financial review processes as needed
- Help identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
- Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (upcoming graduates considered)
- Prior internship experience in an accounting environment preferred
- Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, queries, data mining)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the role
