Position Summary
flyADVANCED and flyGATEWAY are seeking an Admissions Specialist to support student enrollment and recruitment efforts across our training programs. This role is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, while delivering a high level of customer service and helping drive class start goals.
This is a new position focused on engaging warm leads, building relationships, and converting interest into enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, providing a professional and welcoming experience throughout the admissions process
- Engage with warm leads via phone, email, and digital platforms
- Manage and respond to inbound inquiries from website, social media, and other channels in a timely manner
- Guide prospective students through program options, training paths, and funding opportunities
- Work toward and achieve weekly enrollment goals tied to upcoming class start dates
- Schedule and coordinate on-site Meet and Greets and Introductory Flights
- Track and manage applicants through the enrollment pipeline, ensuring all required documentation is completed
- Follow up with inactive or withdrawn candidates to re-engage interest
- Partner with operations to confirm enrollment status and student readiness
- Participate in recruitment events such as open houses, career fairs, and presentations
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and referral sources
- Act as an advocate for student success from initial inquiry through program start
Qualifications
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or admissions required
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple candidates at different stages
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic math skills
- Aviation experience preferred but not required
- Social media and marketing familiarity is a plus
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
Compensation
- Base Salary: $45,000
- Commission-based incentives tied to student enrollments and program participation
- Additional bonus opportunities available
Additional Details
- Primary work location is KLOM (Wings Field, Blue Bell, PA)
- Flexibility to support KILG (New Castle, DE) and KXLL (Allentown, PA) as needed
- Some travel between locations and for recruitment events is required
