Senior Accountant
Location: New Castle, DE

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in New Castle, Delaware. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Accounting leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including oversight of accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll as needed
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Oversee fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial management software (e.g., Oracle, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
