Our client is a fast-growing, $200M national design-build contractor headquartered in Lombard, IL. With a diverse mix of ground-up and interior projects across commercial, healthcare, industrial, mixed-use, and specialty markets, they’ve built a reputation on repeat clients, high-quality execution, and a true integrated design construction model.
They’re now seeking a Senior Architect who’s ready to take the next step—someone who can lead projects today and grow into a Studio Lead / Architecture Manager as the team expands.

What You’ll Do
- Lead architectural design for ground-up and renovation projects across multiple sectors
- Drive early-stage planning, programming, and concept development
- Coordinate directly with owners, PMs, engineers, and internal design-build partners
- Oversee junior architects and contribute to team training/development
- Produce and review technical drawings, details, and construction documents
- Ensure code compliance, life-safety requirements, and quality control throughout design
- Present design concepts in client meetings and participate in preconstruction conversations
- Contribute to design standards, workflow improvements, and studio processes
- Support the growth of the architectural team with a pathway to become a Team Lead / Manager
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12 years of architectural experience
- Strong experience in design-build or highly collaborative project delivery
- Proficiency in Revit (required)
- Solid technical drawing and detailing experience
- Ability to mentor junior staff and lead elements of the team
- Comfortable communicating with clients and presenting design concepts
