NRC Design Build is expanding and seeking an experienced Design-Build Consultant who can confidently lead projects from concept through contract.
This role is ideal for a high-level professional who understands both design and construction, can prepare accurate project estimates, and enjoys guiding homeowners through the process of transforming their homes.

The Opportunity

You will work directly with qualified homeowners to:
• Develop thoughtful space plans and design concepts
• Translate design into real construction scope and cost
• Prepare detailed project estimates
• Guide clients through design decisions and budgets
• Present proposals and secure signed renovation contracts

You will be supported by a strong internal team so you can focus on what you do best.
You’ll have:
• A Project Manager handling site coordination, scheduling, and crew management
• A Design Director and Jr. Designer assisting with drawings and design development
• A CRM system and estimating tools
• A steady flow of qualified inbound leads
Your focus: design, estimating, and closing projects.
Who Thrives in This Role
The ideal candidate already understands how design-build really works.
You likely have experience as:
• A senior interior designer
• A design-build consultant
• A remodeling sales professional
• A residential construction estimator with design experience
You are confident discussing:
• Construction costs
• Framing and structural considerations
• Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Cabinetry, finishes, and materials
• Project scope and budgeting
Most importantly, you know how to build trust with clients and close projects.
Qualifications
• 5 years experience in residential remodeling or design-build
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and material costs
• Proven ability to estimate and sell renovation projects
• Experience with AutoCAD or design software
• Strong communication and client management skills
• Reliable transportation for client meetings
Interior Design degree preferred but not required for experienced professionals.
Compensation
This role is designed for high performers.
• Base: $75,000 structured commissions
• High earning potential for strong producers
• Flexible schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 1099 subcontractor with potential transition to permanent role
