The IT Solutions Manager with deep expertise in Enterprise Business Systems such as Epicor Prophet 21 (P21), NetSuite, SAP B1, MS Dynamics Business Central to lead the operational system design, support workflow optimization, integration, and optimization of ERP solutions across our distribution and assembly business units. This role requires a hands-on specialist who can translate complex business needs into scalable, high-performing ERP configurations and integrations. This role drives collaboration identifies opportunities for innovation and ensures IT delivers measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution and design robust ERP solutions that align with business standard operating procedures (SOP) in distribution fulfillment, service, procurement, assembly, and finance.
- Identify opportunities to streamline business processes using ERP capabilities.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units
- Partner with business analysts and IT developers to gather and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead technical design for integrations between ERP and external systems (CRM, eCommerce, WMS, EDI, BI tools).
- Collaborate with finance, operations, sales & supply chain, and other departments to gather requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, functional flow diagrams, and data mappings.
- Serve as a technical lead during implementation and post-go-live support, and mentor junior team members.
- Ensure data integrity, system performance, and compliance with internal controls
- Strong understanding of business processes and IT systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex projects
- Lead and manage the ERP Solutions team, including hiring, onboarding, and training new staff.
- Motivate, mentor, and support career development for team members while fostering a positive, inclusive culture.
- Set clear expectations, KPIs, and objectives aligned with company goals, and monitor team performance through regular reviews.
- Address performance issues, recognize achievements, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Develop action plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies in response to changing circumstances.
- Analyze problems, identify root causes, make informed decisions under pressure, and lead through uncertainty.
- Track key metrics, generate reports for leadership, and maintain accurate records of team activities and outcomes.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with ERP systems, including multi-site or multi-brand implementations.
- Proficiency in SQL – understanding complex queries and working with large data sets.
- Deep understanding of ERP data flow, and integration points.
- Solid grasp of business processes in distribution, logistics, procurement, and service operations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating/managing AI agents through CoPilot/ChatGPT/Claude/other are desired.
- Experience with scaled ERP transformation in the Cloud is strongly desirable.
- Experience with Six Sigma, Lean operations process is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
- Must have ability to legally work in the United States without sponsorship and ability to travel international.
- Ability to travel to business locations throughout USA, Canada, and Mexico up to 30% or 1-2 weeks per month, as needed.
