Job Summary
Flory Industries is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CAD Drafter II with REQUIRED SolidWorks expertise to join our Engineering team, supporting both the Flory and Coe Equipment product lines.
This position plays a key role in developing and maintaining high-quality engineering documentation that supports manufacturing operations at our Salida and Live Oak facilities. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of professional SolidWorks experience with a strong mechanical background and a passion for precision and continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D solid models in SolidWorks (REQUIRED).
- Generate accurate and detailed 2D fabrication and weldment drawings from SolidWorks models.
- Collaborate with Engineers to ensure drawings and assemblies accurately reflect design intent.
- Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for 20 equipment models, including:
- Electrical and hydraulic schematics (AutoCAD)
- Assembly documentation and instructions
- Parts books and owner’s manuals
- Participate in routine design updates and continuous improvement efforts for existing models.
- Assist with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Bill of Materials (BOM) updates, and Engineering Change Management.
- Respond to and resolve technical inquiries through the Engineering Help Desk.
Salary Range
$30.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Education & Experience
REQUIRED:
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience using SolidWorks for parametric 3D modeling and drawing creation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Foxit, and Adobe.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
Preferred:
- Experience with sheet metal design.
- Familiarity with off-highway or agricultural equipment.
- Comfortable communicating with engineers, production staff, suppliers, and customers.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Prolonged sitting and frequent computer use.
- Occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, and standing as needed.
Working Conditions
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on assignment.
- Exposure to varying conditions: temperature changes, dust, noise, and moving machinery.
- Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and gloves.
