Teacher - CTE Business

Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join the Florence School District Three as a full-time teacher in the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Business program. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an engaging learning environment that prepares students for success in the business world. This position requires a strong understanding of business principles, effective teaching strategies, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their career goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for CTE Business courses that aligns with state standards and industry requirements.
• Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on learning experiences, technology, and real-world applications.
• Assess student progress through various evaluation methods, providing timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and community organizations to enhance program offerings and provide students with relevant opportunities.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices in education, and advancements in technology to continuously improve instructional methods.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the field of business education.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, program updates, and any concerns.
• Support students in developing essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Education, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid teaching certification in Business Education or CTE, with endorsements as required by state regulations.
• Proven experience in teaching business-related courses or in a business environment is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of business principles, practices, and current trends in the industry.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational practices and industry standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the overall goals of the school and district.
