Academic Interventionist Assistant (Computer Lab Facilitator)

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to support the academic success of students as an Academic Interventionist Assistant in our computer lab. This full-time position involves facilitating programs such as Edgenuity to enhance student learning, providing academic support, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and staff to implement intervention strategies that help students meet their educational goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in navigating and utilizing Edgenuity and other educational software effectively.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students requiring additional assistance in their coursework.
• Monitor student progress and engagement in the computer lab, ensuring that all students are actively participating in their learning.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify students' learning needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment in the computer lab.
• Prepare instructional materials and resources for use in the computer lab.
• Facilitate small group instruction and tutoring sessions as needed.
• Assist in the collection and analysis of student data to inform instructional practices.
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrative staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to academic intervention and technology in education.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly in a technology-based environment.
• Familiarity with educational software, specifically Edgenuity or similar programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using technology for educational purposes.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and best practices in academic intervention is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to support student learning and achievement.
