We are partnering with a rapidly scaling, well-established organization that has grown from 5,000 to 15,000 employees and continues to expand. As a result of this growth, they are seeking a Payroll Manager to play a critical role in stabilizing, structuring, and leading payroll operations at scale.

The right person will bring both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership, ensuring payroll runs accurately, efficiently, and on time—every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for ~10,000 employees across multiple pay cycles
- Ensure payroll is delivered accurately and on schedule—this role has full ownership and accountability
- Leverage UKG (required) to manage payroll operations and drive process efficiency
- Execute payroll processing as needed; this is a hands-on leadership role
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal controls
- Support continued growth, including acquisitions and process integration
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 6 hourly payroll professionals
- Bring structure, discipline, and accountability to a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Effectively navigate conflict, ambiguity, and competing priorities
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to performance and deadlines
- Monitor KPIs, productivity, and team output to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications
- Experience managing payroll in a high-volume environment (5,000 employees preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of UKG (required)
- Deep technical payroll expertise with the ability to process payroll directly
- Experience managing multiple pay cycles and complex payroll structures
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on accountability and execution
- Ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and growth
