Operations Supervisor – Houston, TX

Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are hiring an Operations Supervisor to lead a residential collection team in Houston. This is a field-level leadership role focused on daily route execution, team management, and safety compliance.

People & Personnel

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, and discipline route personnel
• Schedule drivers, toters, and helpers to ensure full daily coverage
• Address employee complaints and resolve workplace issues promptly

Daily Operations

• Oversee route completion and ensure all stops are serviced on schedule
• Direct collection and disposal services to maximize personnel and equipment utilization
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of driver paperwork: truck reports, driver logs, and vehicle inspections
• Enter daily productivity data into the operating system
• Establish, monitor, and review productivity standards at each phase of operations
• Maintain inventory of operational supplies within approved budget

Customer Service

• Monitor customer satisfaction through daily route completion and resolution of special and missed stops
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner

Safety & Compliance

• Champion a proactive safety culture focused on accident prevention and employee recognition
• Conduct and document routine route observations
• Investigate accidents and complete required incident reports
• Plan, schedule, and lead monthly safety meetings
• Ensure proper use and availability of all safety equipment
• Maintain working knowledge of and enforce compliance with CDL driver regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
• 2 year supervisory experience OR 2 year lead driver experience in waste or transportation
• Prior waste, environmental, or transportation industry experience preferred
• Experience operating or overseeing CDL-required vehicles preferred
