Form Carpenter

(Baton Rouge, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Concrete Carpenter to support high-quality commercial concrete construction projects across the Southeast. This is a core field position responsible for executing concrete work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Essential Duties:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, details, and submittals

• Perform layout for footings, grade beams, slabs, walls, and columns

• Build, install, brace, strip, and clean concrete forms

• Install embeds, anchor bolts, sleeves, block-outs, and edge forms

• Assist with concrete placement, finishing coordination, and curing protection

• Execute assigned work to meet daily and weekly production targets

• Identify constructability issues early to reduce rework and delays

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas

• Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA standards

• Participate in Job Safety Analyses and toolbox talks

• Properly use PPE at all times

• Work collaboratively with foremen, superintendents, and crew members

• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced carpenters

• Represent Flexicrew Technical Services with professionalism and respect

• Willingness to travel and work on projects throughout the Southeast states

Requirements/Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial concrete or carpentry experience

• Proficiency with concrete formwork systems and layout tools

• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools

• Strong understanding of concrete construction means and methods

• Basic math and measurement skills

• Ability to identify quality and constructability issues

• Strong work ethic with the ability to accept coaching and feedback

• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a TWIC card

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods

• Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction tasks
