Centralized Billing Clerk

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Transferring data from various formats into computer files or database systems Typing in data provided directly from customers Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes Verify data by comparing it to source documents Update existing data Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost Other duties, as assigned . EDUCATION & TRAINING High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Minimum 3 years’ experience in transportation billing Previous service and billing experience preferred SKILLS & ABILITIES Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to type a minimum of 35-40 correct words per minute Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to follow instructions Must be conscience of safety procedures and security WORK ENVIRONMENT • Office-based environment depending on company policy. • May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet operational demands.
