What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Business Growth
- Must actively prospect and generate new client leads to grow the business pipeline.
- Qualify leads quickly — separate warm vs cold opportunities, capture key info, and push leads forward in the funnel
- Follow up persistently — schedule meetings, send proposals, re-engage past prospects
- Collaborate with marketing to test new lead channels and messaging
Sales & Client Management
- Close deals by building trusting relationships and clearly articulating value
- Upsell and cross-sell where appropriate
- Retain clients through responsive service and relationship maintenance
Estimating & Proposal Work
- Conduct site visits, scope assessing, takeoffs, and measurement
- Build detailed cost estimates for painting and construction projects
- Craft tailored proposals that balance quality, feasibility, and profitability
Cross-Team Collaboration & Execution
- Align with field crews and operations to ensure estimates translate into deliverable projects
- Feedback market/lead intel to marketing, operations, and leadership
- Ensure smooth transitions from signed contract to project kickoff
Who You Are
Experience / Background
- You’ve closed sales or generated new business (any industry is a bonus)
- Experience in estimation, painting, construction is a plus (but not required)
- You know or can learn how the trade works—materials, processes, costs, timelines
Attributes & Skills
- Tenacious and fearless in seeking new leads — you enjoy rejection as part of the process
- Excellent communicator, listener, and negotiator
- Strong organization, detail-focus, and ability to manage pipeline and deadlines
- Comfortable working with estimating software, CRM tools, and Microsoft/Google suites
- Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work with minimal supervision
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally (Eugene to Portland, occasional coastal trips)
- Ability to juggle multiple leads, proposals, and tasks without losing focus
