What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior System Administrator position at firstPRO, Inc?
We’re seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator to own and support IT infrastructure in a small, fast-paced environment. This is a high-visibility role for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats across cloud and on-prem systems. The position is primarily onsite, with limited flexibility as needed.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Windows Server environments (2012R2–2019), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Administer virtual platforms (Hyper-V, VMware) and storage solutions (Dell EMC / NetApp)
- Support Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Security, and Compliance
- Maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, VPNs)
- Implement backup and recovery solutions using Veeam
- Support Windows 10–11 desktops and devices
- Lead and support 1–2 IT team members
- Handle service requests, audits, and infrastructure projects
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of Windows Server, networking, and storage experience
- 2–3 years of Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, and cloud exposure
- Experience supporting small organizations (under 100 users)
- Comfortable leading while remaining hands-on
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
