SAP Solutions Architect

Job Summary

The Senior Solution Architect, Digital & Transformation (D&T) – SAP Production Planning collaborates closely with Production and Operations functions to define, deliver, and support D&T-enabled business solutions. This role contributes to strategic direction, determines business needs, designs and delivers technical solutions for Production Planning, and manages team members.

The role has primary accountability for the delivery of Production Planning solutions with integration to Quality, including project delivery, system enhancements, and production support, in alignment with customer D&T strategies and company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to Lean Six Sigma programs and activities toward achieving defined targets.
• Consistently comply with company safety and quality policies.
• Lead the mapping of business requirements to optimal technical solutions.
• Provide technical delivery of system functionality to meet defined business requirements.
• Manage people and teams, including:
• Work distribution and performance evaluation
• Cross-functional team coordination
• Mentoring and coaching team members
• Driving tangible, outcome-focused results
• Fostering team building and development
• Apply broad expertise to solve complex business and technical problems.
• Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with the ERP SAP S/4HANA Services Delivery model, company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (including Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP).
• Create and maintain system lifecycle documentation in accordance with company policies, including SOPs, SOIs, and job aids.
• Participate in and adhere to Change Control processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to define detailed business requirements for D&T enablement, interpret issues, and recommend solutions or best practices.
• Demonstrate strong SAP expertise, including system functionality and technical understanding of:
• Production Planning (PP)
• Quality Management (QM)
• Materials Management (MM)
• Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
• Maintain strong knowledge of shop floor and manufacturing interfaces (MES).
• Stay current with the latest SAP S/4HANA releases.
• Effectively work in a virtual, global environment and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English.
• Willingness to travel locally as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and related modules (PP, QM, EWM).
• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA systems.
• Hands-on involvement in SAP S/4HANA implementations for Production and Quality.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, complex environment with strong judgment and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
• Awareness of and compliance with all relevant SOPs per company policy.
• Experience supporting Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Demonstrated people management experience.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Agile and Scrum certification.
• ITIL certification.
