Job Title: Jira Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Newton, MA (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Duration: 3–6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Jira Administrator to support an ongoing Jira implementation initiative. This individual will play a critical role in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Jira while also acting as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a hybrid Jira Admin / Business Systems Analyst capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira environments (projects, workflows, permissions, dashboards, and automations)
- Support an active Jira implementation and help drive adoption across the organization
- Troubleshoot system issues, performance concerns, and user-reported problems
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Jira solutions
- Act as a functional bridge between technical teams and end users, similar to a Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
- Develop and deliver user training, documentation, and best practices
- Continuously improve Jira processes, workflows, and usability
- Assist with integrations and data management as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience as a Jira Administrator
- Hands-on experience with Jira implementation or major enhancements
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements
- Ability to train users and drive system adoption
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience acting in a hybrid Jira Admin / BSA role
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with Jira integrations (e.g., Confluence or other tools)
- Prior experience migrating from or working alongside tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) is a plus
Additional Details:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Newton, MA

Salary : $45 - $60
