Now Hiring: Head of Corporate Tax | (Hybrid – 3 Days Remote)
A leading global organization is seeking a Head of Corporate Tax to lead and elevate its tax function. This high-impact role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax operations—including compliance, planning, strategy, and risk management—while partnering closely with business leaders, finance teams, and external advisors.
This is a hybrid role that can city in Princeton, NJ or NYC, with three remote workdays per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for all income tax-related reporting under IFRS, U.S. GAAP, Solvency II, and statutory requirements.
- Contribute to global operational initiatives and long-term transformation efforts.
- Drive the rollout of innovative tax technologies to improve compliance processes and reporting accuracy.
- Supervise the end-to-end process for corporate tax filings, ensuring full compliance with all jurisdictional requirements.
- Lead the execution of the organization’s tax forecasting models and support annual tax planning cycles.
- Maintain proactive communication with regulatory bodies and key internal stakeholders—including finance leadership and the global tax function—to address audit findings and ensure alignment.
- Direct the completion and internal review of tax filings across federal, state, and local levels to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Launch and facilitate internal tax training to educate cross-functional teams on current tax law developments and reform impacts.
- Deliver insights and updates on tax strategies to senior executives, board members, and other key decision-makers.
- Oversee all tax audit activity and lead resolution efforts, implementing improvements as needed to strengthen compliance.
- Manage the U.S. reporting obligations related to Pillar II under company's tax accounting standards.
- Coordinate quarterly estimated tax payments and internal tax allocations across the consolidated U.S. group.
- Monitor legislative developments and provide strategic recommendations regarding their potential effect on company operations.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls related to income tax accounting, providing leadership with documented assurance of their effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA required); Master’s in Taxation or MBA strongly preferred
- 15 years of tax experience either in public accounting, a corporate tax department or mixture
- Insurance industry experience
