Role Overview

The Delivery Platforms Administrator owns the configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise delivery and project management platforms, including Azure DevOps and Jira. This role is responsible for both strategic roadmap planning and day-to-day platform operations, with a strong emphasis on analytics, automation, and self-service reporting using the Microsoft Power Platform.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience administering Agile delivery tools and leveraging Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to enhance visibility, automate workflows, and reduce manual effort across delivery organizations. This role partners closely with delivery leadership, platform vendors, and internal technology teams to maximize value while minimizing operational and delivery risk.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Tool Strategy & Administration

• Serve as the primary owner for Azure DevOps and the broader delivery tooling ecosystem across product and engineering teams
• Define, maintain, and execute a strategic roadmap for delivery platforms, including Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, Planview PPM Pro, and Monday.com
• Manage day-to-day platform administration, configurations, permissions, and integrations
• Identify and implement system enhancements to improve usability, automation, and scalability

Reporting, Analytics & Automation (Power Platform)

• Design and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports for delivery teams and executive stakeholders
• Develop Power Apps solutions to support delivery workflows, intake processes, and operational use cases
• Build Power Automate flows to streamline processes, automate notifications, approvals, and data synchronization across tools
• Leverage analytics and automation to improve delivery transparency, forecasting, and decision-making

Agile Enablement & Adoption

• Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Project Managers, and Release Train Engineers to align tooling with Agile and scaled Agile practices
• Configure boards, workflows, and metrics to support Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe delivery models
• Develop and deliver training, documentation, and best practices to ensure consistent and effective tool usage

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

• Collaborate with vendors and internal IT partners (security, infrastructure, identity, etc.) to design and support integrated solutions
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and minimize business disruption
• Lead testing and validation of new features, fixes, and integrations
• Stay current on emerging technologies, platform capabilities, and Agile tooling best practices

Communication & Governance

• Lead delivery system roadmap reviews and platform strategy discussions
• Communicate system updates, enhancements, and impacts to end users
• Translate business requirements into functional configurations, workflows, and technical specifications
• Act as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
• Escalate risks and issues appropriately while maintaining stakeholder confidence

Agile Delivery Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Knowledge of board and backlog management best practices
• Familiarity with delivery and flow metrics such as velocity, burndown, WIP limits, cycle time, and lead time

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
• 3 years of experience working in Agile or product-centric delivery environments
• Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Demonstrated experience with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, including building dashboards, applications, and automated workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure DevOps–related certifications or formal training
• Power Platform certifications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Agile or delivery certifications such as CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, PMP, or equivalent
