We’re partnering with a growing, private equity-backed investment firm seeking an Accounting Manager (CPA preferred) to lead a team and oversee the month-end close process. This role offers strong visibility and the opportunity to work closely with an experienced and supportive leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
- Maintain ownership of the general ledger, including variance analysis and flux explanations across the P&L and balance sheet
- Support technical accounting matters, including complex transactions and application of GAAP/IFRS guidance
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
- Partner with auditors and support external and internal audit processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Mentor and develop staff accountants, reviewing work and providing guidance on accounting treatment
- Drive process improvements within the close cycle, including automation and system enhancements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and interpersonal skills
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
