Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Audiovisual Technician to join our Worship Team and ensure the seamless operation of audiovisual systems across all weekend Worship Services. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of AV equipment - with state-of-the-art Allen & Heath digital mixer, Presentation Software, Lighting Controls, Dante Audio Card - to deliver exceptional audio-visual worship experiences. Your expertise will help create engaging presentations and live events, including online streaming, that captivate audiences and support organizational objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced church environment while ensuring reliable AV performance.
Duties
- Design, configure, and set up audiovisual equipment including projectors, microphones, speakers, and control systems in accordance with technical schematics and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AV hardware and cabling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to AV systems, including video conferencing platforms, control software, and hardware interfaces.
- Manage low voltage wiring and cabling installations with precision using hand tools, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical or mechanical faults within AV setups by interpreting schematics and technical manuals; execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for system installation, upgrades, repairs, or troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Strong for assembling and maintaining AV equipment and cabling infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for installation and repair tasks.
- Skilled in software troubleshooting for AV control systems, video conferencing platforms, presentation platforms, and related applications.
- Experience working with telecommunication systems and computer hardware components relevant to AV setups.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices for field service operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and system optimization.
