Position Available
Full-time Registered Behavior Technician
First Step Therapy is currently seeking an RBT to join our growing multidisciplinary team in Lake County treating clients with a variety of diagnoses ranging from age 0-16 years old in the client’s natural environment.
W2 positions available

Job Summary
Registered behavior technicians collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide ABA therapy services to help children learn new skills and reach milestones.
- Provide in-person behavior intervention services in a community or clinic based-setting.
- Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans that improve the child's ability to function in their environment.
- Collect and record data on child behaviors.
- Collaborate with BCBAs to create treatment plans that are most beneficial for the child and the family's goals.
- Collaborate with other therapy disciplines to provide a multidisciplinary approach for optimal functional outcomes.
- Follow Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines and codes of conduct.
Job Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- RBT certification
- Level II fingerprinting background
- Driver’s License
- In-person CPR and First Aid Certification
- Professional Liability Insurance
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of ABA experience (preferred)
- Safety care training (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions
- Following treatment plan set by evaluating therapist
- Team collaboration
- Assisting evaluating therapist in developing appropriate treatment plan at re-evaluation
- Accurate record keeping
