Full-time or Part-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant
First Step Therapy is currently seeking a SLPA to join our growing multidisciplinary team in the Winter Haven Clinic treating clients with a variety of diagnoses ranging from age 0-21 years old.
W2 and 1099 positions available

Job Summary
Speech language assistants (SLPAs) collaborate with physical therapists to develop and carry out a treatment plan for each patient. Speech language assistants work with patients that have developmental delays, teaching them functional language skills to improve communication. Assistants monitor and document progress throughout the treatment period.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders
Valid Florida SLPA License
Level II fingerprinting background
Driver’s License
Professional Liability Insurance
Qualifications
Ability to assist patients in acquiring communication skills
1 year pediatric experience (preferred)
AAC experience (preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions
Provide speech services (treatment) to the patients
Following treatment plan set by evaluating therapist
Caregiver education
Team collaboration
Assisting evaluating therapist in developing appropriate treatment plan at re-evaluation
