Responsibilities
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing therapy plans tailored to individual student needs, including those with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Support early intervention programs by working directly with children to promote developmental milestones related to speech and language acquisition
- Prepare therapy materials and assist in documenting progress notes, assessments, and session outcomes accurate.
- Observe and monitor students during therapy sessions, providing feedback under supervision to optimize intervention strategies
- Maintain a safe and engaging environment conducive to learning and communication development
- Understand and apply medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles relevant to speech-language pathology
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or students in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred but not required.
- Experience in pediatrics or early intervention programs is advantageous
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to speech and swallowing disorders is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
