Responsibilities
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering individualized speech therapy sessions tailored to each patient’s or student’s needs.
- Support early intervention programs by working with children from infancy through early childhood to promote developmental milestones.
- Implement therapy activities focused on improving speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication skills.
- Help prepare therapy materials, set up treatment environments, and maintain therapy documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to reinforce communication strategies within educational or home settings.
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising clinicians to inform ongoing treatment planning.
- Maintain a safe, engaging environment conducive to learning and therapeutic growth for all clients.
Requirements
- SLPA Florida State License
- Prior experience working with children or students in educational, clinical, or pediatric settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with pediatric development stages and early intervention practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with children, families, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions from licensed clinicians while demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm.
