Job Summary
This role is a true office manager position. Everything from answering the phone and greeting guests of the church to payroll and taxes for the church. Things that this position includes are coordinating, paperwork, filing, basic outlook, word and excel documents, church software, updating our website, weekly bulletin, monthly newsletter, and all the finances of the church, among other things. If you are a self-starter and work well on your own, this part time job in the mornings would be a great position for you! Flexible hours could be discussed. Paying $17 an hour, 20 hours a week. With four weeks paid time off a year!
Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to guests, and staff.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing systems, and spreadsheet management using productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Oversee office supplies inventory, order necessary materials, and ensure equipment is functioning properly to support daily operations.
- Support front desk duties by greeting visitors, managing communication, and ensuring a positive first impression for all who enter the office.
- Assist with administrative tasks including proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and supporting personal assistant duties as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with a strong background in clerical tasks and customer service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace applications, and data entry tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with calendar management, filing systems, and front desk operations is essential.
- Demonstrated professionalism in phone etiquette, communication, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to manage payroll and taxes, along with financial understanding of check books, CD's, and investments.
