What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursery Support Staff (FPC Kids Childcare) position at First Presbyterian Church?
First Presbyterian Church (FPC) is seeking a dependable and caring individual to serve as Nursery Support Staff as part of our FPC Kids ministry team on Sunday mornings.
This role helps create a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children ages 0–5 during worship services while supporting young families as they participate in the life of the church. Nursery staff may also assist with simple gospel-centered songs, lessons, and activities in age-appropriate ways throughout the morning.
Because FPC Kids is a volunteer-supported ministry, this position works closely alongside our volunteer team each week. We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, communicates well, and contributes to a positive and encouraging environment for both families and fellow volunteers.

Position Details
- Sundays from 9:00am–12:00pm (some flexibility)
- Light, consistent weekly hours
- Pay: $20–$25/hour
- Maximum of one Sunday off per month
Safety & Child Protection
FPC is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for children and families. All FPC Kids volunteers and childcare staff complete a background check and follow established child safety policies and procedures. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
