Project Training Coordinator/Facilitator


Project Location: Thacker Pass, Nevada

Work Schedule: Full-Time Onsite

  • 3 Weeks On / 1 Week Off Rotation
  • EWW: 57-Hour Work Week
  • Man Camp Status (Winnemucca, NV)


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Rate Range: $60-$77/hr w2
  • 10% Project Allowance
  • 10% Project Completion Incentive
  • Mobilization and Demobilization Expenses Covered
  • Travel Home During Rotation Covered


Job Summary


The Project Training Coordinator/Facilitator is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating training programs within a construction project environment. This role ensures that employees, supervisors, and subcontractor personnel receive the training and qualifications necessary to perform their work safely, effectively, and in compliance with applicable regulatory, client, project, and company requirements.

The position is well suited for an experienced training professional who has worked in construction and, preferably, in remote or geographically dispersed project locations.


A valid driver’s license is required, as training activities may be conducted across multiple project sites and locations.


Major Responsibilities

  • ES&H Training Program Management: Manage and administer the project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Training Program in accordance with company ES&H Core Processes, project procedures, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Training Planning and Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive ES&H training plans, training matrices, qualification programs, and competency requirements aligned with project needs.
  • Training Team Leadership: Supervise ES&H training personnel and provide effective coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Training Delivery: Coordinate and facilitate new-hire orientation, supervisor orientation, refresher training, regulatory-required training, and other project-specific training programs.
  • Workforce Qualification: Ensure training and qualification requirements are incorporated into project execution plans, subcontractor onboarding processes, workforce mobilization activities, and job-specific qualification programs.
  • Training Records and Compliance: Maintain accurate and current training records, databases, and documentation. Ensure workforce training and qualification records meet OSHA, MSHA, client, project, and company requirements.
  • Training Metrics and Reporting: Analyze training data and develop meaningful metrics, dashboards, reports, and trend analyses to provide project leadership with visibility into workforce competency, compliance, and training performance.
  • Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through audits, assessments, observations, testing, field evaluations, and workforce performance indicators. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Construction, Workforce Services, Medical, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, and other project functions to identify training needs, address competency gaps, and support project ES&H objectives.
  • Incident Investigation Support: Support incident investigations by developing and communicating lessons learned and implementing targeted retraining or competency-development programs where appropriate.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and support initiatives designed to improve workforce competency, regulatory compliance, training effectiveness, and the overall ES&H culture across the project.
  • Field-Based Training Support: Conduct training activities at various project locations as required, including remote or geographically dispersed work areas, while maintaining flexibility to meet changing project and workforce demands.


Required Qualifications and Credentials

  • Current OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 502 certification.
  • Valid OSHA Outreach Trainer authorization card.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering OSHA 30-Hour Construction Outreach Training in accordance with OSHA Outreach Training Program requirements.
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating ES&H training programs within a construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable OSHA, MSHA, client, and project training requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in field and remote project environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project locations as required.
