Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee and coordinate electrical construction activities on a large-scale industrial project.
This role is responsible for managing subcontractor and direct-hire operations while ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders, field leadership, engineering teams, and subcontractors to support seamless project execution and maintain a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate subcontractor and direct-hire electrical construction activities within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Monitor construction schedules, workforce planning, equipment utilization, and material requirements to support project milestones.
- Develop and review construction methods, manpower plans, schedules, and equipment requirements.
- Ensure construction activities are aligned with overall project schedules and interface requirements.
- Verify installation of electrical systems, materials, and equipment complies with engineering drawings, specifications, vendor requirements, and applicable standards.
- Enforce project policies, procedures, and field construction work practices.
- Provide technical support to Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting engineering and vendor documentation.
- Facilitate resolution of technical and construction-related issues with engineering teams, subcontractors, and field supervision.
- Collaborate with design and engineering personnel to address constructability concerns and implement practical field solutions.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture consistent with project and company standards.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field with 8–10 years of relevant experience; or 12–14 years of progressive electrical construction experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Extensive experience supervising electrical construction activities on heavy industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and applicable electrical codes.
- Experience managing union craft labor and direct-hire construction workforces.
- Thorough knowledge of construction planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls.
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and field operations.
- Working knowledge of subcontract administration and contractor/subcontractor responsibilities.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of project ES&H programs and a commitment to achieving zero-incident performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and database tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across project teams and external partners.
Salary : $60 - $77
