First Coast Security Solutions provides security services nationwide. We are seeking a full-time Federal Lieutenant (LT), non-exempt, position for the Los Angeles area. The LT must be willing to work on weekends and holidays. The Lieutenant is responsible for overseeing Protective Security Officers (PSOs), supporting daily operations, and maintaining a secure environment at assigned federal facilities. 

Pay Transparency

Base Rate: $48.38/hour $5.75 Health & Welfare (H&W)

 Responsibilities 

• Supervise and oversee daily activities of PSOs.  
• Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling issues, and operational concerns as needed. 
• Monitor entrances, exits, and overall facility activity, including vehicle inspections, gate operations, CCTV monitoring, and remote access systems. 
• Respond to incidents such as medical emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other situations. 
• Protect evidence and secure incident scenes as required. 
• Complete logs, reports, and documentation. 
• Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, or incidents. 
• Follow all safety rules, company policies, and site procedures. 
• Other related duties may be assigned based on site needs. 

Qualifications 

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must possess a valid Social Security.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain suitability as mandated by DHS/FPS 
• CLETS certification  
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.  
• Must have reliable transportation.  
• Shall fluently speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent written reports in English.
• Must Maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications.

Required State Licensing

• BSIS Issued Guard Card
• BSIS Issued Firearms Permit with .40 caliber qualification
• BSIS Issued Baton Permit

Working Conditions

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. 
• Position requires standing and walking patrols for extended periods and responding quickly. 
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 25–50 lbs as needed. 
• May involve exposure to noise, bright lighting, and fast-paced environments. 
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. 
• Must be available to travel.
