Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Clinic Medical Director to provide high-quality veterinary care while leading and mentoring a medical team. The ideal candidate will oversee clinical standards, support team development, and contribute to the growth and success of a modern veterinary care model.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Lead Veterinarian on the clinic floor, maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Implement clinical protocols, oversee quality assurance, and ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Mentor, train, and support veterinarians and veterinary nurses in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
- Contribute to the development and expansion of the veterinary care model.
- Provide a balanced mix of urgent care and wellness services.
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD degree.
- Current Colorado veterinary license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience.
- Strong team-building, organizational, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Passion for advancing veterinary care and improving clinical practices.
- Experience in and enthusiasm for surgery and dental procedures preferred.
Schedule
- Flexible 3–4-day workweek.
- 10–12-hour shifts.
- No overnight shifts.
- Strong nursing support with a 3:1 nurse-to-DVM ratio.
- Pre-visit triage to support clinical preparation.
