Position Overview
Seeking two Associate Attorneys with 0–5 years of experience to join our team in North Providence, Rhode Island. This position offers an excellent opportunity for newly licensed and Associate attorneys to gain hands-on experience managing pre-litigation personal injury matters while working closely with senior attorneys.
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of primarily pre-litigation personal injury files, assist with litigation matters, and play an active role in client representation and case development.
Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters.
• Conduct client intake, case evaluations, and liability assessments.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal guidance to clients.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing parties.
• Draft correspondence, demand packages, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Assist senior attorneys with litigation matters, including discovery, hearings, conferences, and court appearances.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance representatives, and third parties.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with deadlines and firm procedures.
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license (or eligibility for prompt admission) to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
• 0–5 years of personal injury experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively advocate for clients' interests.
