What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Firman Solutions?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with attorney and/or client to take instructions, obtain information, report on status of matters and otherwise support legal actions.
- Work with attorneys to draft and prepare all documentation required for various types of transactions as assigned.
- In some instances, responsible for clerical work in preparing documents.
- Organize, maintain, review, summarize, and analyze documents and records, compile information, and recommend course of action.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, advanced paralegal certificate preferred.
2. SKILLS: Minimum of 5 years' experience handling complex defense litigation cases
- Ability to perform legal research.
- Ability to organize large volumes of diverse materials and draft complex documents.
- Ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy.
- Ability to recognize legal/technical issues and effectively recommend course of action.
- In-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
- Basic computer skills.
